I don’t normally watch AI. Well, I should say that I watch the first couple weeks, when nothing else is on. I love to watch the auditions. Those initial ones when you can never tell what sort of voice is going to come out of someone. It never ceases to amaze me. A total package could come in and sound like a train wreck.

And an unlikely talent could blow you away. Plus, I love watching Simon, loopy Paula and Randy-dawg banter with each other and the ‘talent’. Of course I cringe and want to change the channel when terrible ones go in.. and I am happy when a talent gets through to Hollywood. But since the first season, I don’t watch past that really.

I saw a contestant last night though that might change that. I am rooting so much for him because he was so different! But ohmygosh so talented! If you saw it, (Tuesday, the 30th) you know who I’m talking about. Chris Sligh, the Jack Osbourne look-alike. The one who commented that he wanted to make David Hasselhoff cry. It wasn’t just that he was talented (OH MY GOD was he talented) but he was so personable and funny too!

So now I’m in it. Well, as long as Tivo and my other fave shows will allow. I swore to myself I just had too much tv as it is. That I wasn’t getting sucked into this House, or Studio 60,  or 30 Rock (or whatever it’s called). But I’ll definitely be keeping tabs on this guy. Good luck Chris Sligh!

I called the doc today because I forgot to find out some important things yesterday. One is about weight training. I’d been pretty active in weight training before I got pregnant but laid-off in the first trimester due to all the spotting, morning sickness, cramping, etc.
The other is about the placenta. With Grace I had a low-lying placenta that wasn’t completely covering my cervix, but was touching..which was definitely a small area of concern, especially if it didn’t move up and out of the way

In the excitement of the ultrasound I forgot to ask about either of these things.

Anyway, so I’ve been given the all-clear for weight training (light of course..) and no problems with the placenta.. so yeah!
